Angela Floyd School for the Dancer is proud to help instruct and educate over 400 talented students ages 2 and up.  We offer classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Adult Classes, and Pre-School Classes.  We are the only East Tennessee dance studio to be named in DANCE TEACHER MAGAZINE Competition & Convention Annual Top 50 Studios on the Move as well as named one of the Top 50 Dance Studios in the US and Canada by DANCE SPIRIT MAGAZINE.  We are proud to be the home of The Knoxville Jazz Company and Angels Kickline.

We maintain the philosophy that students must be given the understanding of dance as and art form; that he or she feels that they are studying dance rather than just "taking dance".  It is important for the child in the beginner class to be taught correctly, as movement and body placement are things that should not be taken lightly.  Above all, the sheer love and enjoyment of dance must come first for the students regardless of age.  We provide students the opportunity to discover new confidence in her/himself in a healthy, nurturing, and fun environment.   Where as it is unrealistic to expect each student to go on to become a professional dancer, it is realistic to introduce each student to professionalism, which we accomplish through love and discipline in both dance and the young dancer.  Our program offers the young artists of Knoxville and surrounding areas and excellent opportunity to grow and learn the art of dance.
