| Faculty and Choreographer for
Angels Kickline and The Knoxville Jazz Company - Pre-School Specialist, Ballet, Tap, and Jumps, Leaps, and
Turns Technique Abby is currently a
student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Ms. Stooksbury trained
extensively under the direction of Angela Floyd for 7 years. Ms.
Stooksbury is a former member of Angels Senior Kickline and The Knoxville Senior
Jazz Company (captain 2002-2006). Abby's performances include: The
Tennessee Theatre, Fantasy of Trees benefiting Children's Hospital, The
Knoxville Opera Company Ball, Louise Mandrel Christmas Show, Royal Caribbean
Cruise Line, The University of Tennessee Men's Basketball Game Halftime Show,
Knoxville Christmas Parade, Knoxville Dogwood Parade, The Farragut 4th of July
Parade, The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and was selected as a Spanish
Dancer in the 2005 Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker. Abby has
received numerous solo and group awards for performances in jazz, lyrical, and
pointe including 1st runner-up Miss Dance International at International Dance
Challenge Regional 2003, Top Varsity All-Star Group at UDA (Rocky Top Classic)
2003, Top Teen Large Group at Hollywood Vibe Regional 2004, Best Crowd Appeal at
the Dogwood Arts Festival Parade 2005, Top Student Choreography Award (Applause
Talent 2006), Excellent Energy Award (Applause 2006), Top Group Award (Elite
2006), Highest Scoring Routine (Elite 2006), Top Production Routine (Elite
2006), West Coast Judges Choice Award (NYLA 2006), Performance Award (Nexstar
2006), 4th Place Teen Production (DEA Nationals 2006). Ms. Stooksbury has
received additional training at New York City Dance Alliance, Showstoppers the
Convention, Hollywood Vibe Dance Conventions, Co. Dance, Dance Educators of
America, from Janice Kronkite (Professional Dancer of stage, film, television,
and cabaret), Debbie Dee (International Tap Teacher, Choreographer, and
Performer), and Ecaterina Cupcinova (Principal Dancer with the Moscow Ballet).
Abby is a former member/captain of the CAK Dance Team and was selected as
Varsity Spirit Corporations Dancer of the Month for October 2003. Most
recently, Abby attended the Ballet Magnificat! Summer 2005 Intensive in Jackson,
MS studying under Kathy Thibadeaux, Sol Nazario, and Jiri Sebastian Voborsky. |

Sheena Marnon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Winthrop Universiy in Rock Hill, SC
with a B.A. in Dance Performance. Sheena is a former professional dancer
with the "Rock Hill Rockhettes" and guest artist for Quail Hallow Presbyterian
Church, choreographing and dancing in liturgical dances. She trained in
Michigan before pursuing her dance education in South Carolina. Sheena's
performance roles and styles have included: Giselle, Kitri from Don Quixote,
four swans from Swan Lake, traditional ballet, contemporary pointe, contemporary
flamenco, a coalesce of dance and sculpture, modern, musical theatre, tap, and
jazz. Artists with whom Sheena has studied are: Stacy Garrett-McConnell,
Mary Beth Young, Natalie Smith, Holly Boda-Sutton, Sandra Neels, Eddie Maybree,
and Kurt Heinlein. Her training includes a combination of Russian and
Checcetti ballet, and eclectic assortment of modern techniques including
African, Graham style, Cunningham and Horton method, Al Gilbert tap and jazz.
Her credentials qualify her to teach Pre-School thru Adults in all levels of
Classical Ballet, Tap, jazz, and Modern. Miss Sheena did her internship
under Mary Lisa Burns at the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio in New York City.
She has attended and performed at SCAPHERD (South Carolina alliance Health,
Physical Education, Recreation and Dance), ACDFA, West Coast Dance Explosion,
Atlanta Ballet Festival, and SC Dancing. She has judged and coordinated
auditions for the South Carolina's St-Arts Summer Program and will be the Ballet
Artist-in-Residence for their 2007 July workshop at Winthrop University. Miss
Sheena has also worked with South Carolina's Woman's Shelter working with dance
therapy to strengthen confidence and relieve stress with abuse victims. In
addition to teaching dance, she as been involved in research for Actors Scene
Unseen for their Norman Allen's production of "Nijinsky's Last Dance" and has
experience with technical production. |
| Faculty - Jazz and Hip Hop Melissa Briggeman comes to us from
the Lone Star state of Texas. She trained in La Porte Texas before
pursuing her career s a professional dancer. Melissa is a former
professional dancer with the Sonic Boom-Houston Aeros Hockey Team, Planet Funk,
and the Houston Outlaws Semi-Professional Football Team. Mrs. Briggeman is
also a former scholarship student at San Jacinto College where she studied
Theater and Dance. Her credentials qualify her to teacher PreSchool-Adult
in Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. She is the former Dance
Director at Power Cheer and Dance in Aeham, Texas where she founded the dance
company's hip hop teams, competition teams, and won numerous choreography
awards. Mrs. Briggeman was the assistant to the director and an instructor
at Dance Center of Deer Park in Deer Park, Texas where she founded the Hip Hop
program and taught Jazz and PreSchool. In addition, Melissa has taught
dance to various levels at Sharpstown High School in Houston, Texas.
Artists with who Melissa has studied are: Joe Tremaine (LA Jazz and Ballet
Master), Wade Robinson (Choreographer for Brittany Spears and star of the "Wade
Robinson Show" on MTV), Dough Caldwell (Professional Choreographer for the music
video industry), Steven Boyd (Broadway Dance Center in New York City and Houston
Metropolitan Dance Center), Debbie Schoppe (former Texas Rangerette), and Peggy
Hinojosa (Houston Ballet Academy). |

Erin Rogers
Erin Rogers is currently a student
at Maryville College. Ms. Rogers trained extensively under the direction
of Ann Watts at the Watts Dance Studio in Elzabethton, TN. Erin is a
former member of the Watts Showcase Dancers. Ms. Rogers is currently a
co-captain and choreographer for the Maryville College Dance Ensemble.
Erin has performed with the famous Moscow Ballet in the Great Russian
Nutcracker. In addition, she trained with Ecaterina Cupcinova, principle
dancer with the Moscow Ballet during their Swan Lake Summer Intensive in 2006.
She has also performed in numerous regional festivals at the Magic Kingdom in
Walt Disney World. Artist with whom Erin has studied are: Bill Hotling,
Michael Vernon, and Finus Jung (Manhattan Dance Project and New York on the
Road); Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Joelle Martinee, Sylvia Rico, Wade Robson,
Dan Karaty, and Marty Drew (Tremaine Conventions); Chris Tyler (Hip Hop
Specialist from Nashville); Chrisann Tull and Jamie Lipford from Watts Dance
Studio. |
